FAQs about 5 Night And 6 Days Assam Meghalaya Tour Package

The best time to visit is during the months of October to April when the weather is pleasant and conducive for outdoor activities.

Guwahati is well-connected by air, rail, and road. You can fly into Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, take a train to Guwahati Railway Station, or drive by road.

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, Indian tourists generally do not require special permits to visit Meghalaya. However, it's advisable to check with local authorities or your tour operator for any updates or changes in permit requirements.

Other popular destinations in Meghalaya include Mawlynnong (Asia's cleanest village), Dawki (known for its crystal-clear Umngot River), and the village of Mawphlang with its sacred groves.

Pack comfortable clothing suitable for the season you're visiting in, as well as rain gear if you're traveling during the monsoon season. Don't forget essentials like sunscreen, insect repellent, and comfortable walking shoes.

Respect the local customs and traditions. Ask for permission before taking photos of people. Dress modestly when visiting religious sites, and remove your shoes before entering temples. It's also polite to greet people with a "Namaste" or "Khublei" (in Khasi language).

Generally, these states are safe for tourists. However, it's essential to exercise standard safety precautions, such as safeguarding your belongings and being aware of your surroundings. Stay updated on any travel advisories or local guidelines.
